André Torre
É Professor-Investigador no INRA (National Institute for Agronomic Research), associado ao Agro Paris Tech, e professor convidado em várias universidades francesas. É atualmente Vice-Presidente da ERSA (European Regional Science Association), Presidente do PSDR (Pour et Sur le Développement Régional) e Editor chefe da RERU (Revue d’Economie Régionale et Urbaine). A sua Investigação mais recente assenta numa abordagem multidisciplinar e foca-se em questões relacionadas com o planeamento do território e os processos de desenvolvimento territorial, desdobrando-se em duas áreas nucleares: (1) as interacções locais entre empresas inovadoras e, em particular, o papel da proximidade geográfica na transferência de conhecimento; e (2) usos do território e conflitos nas comunidades de vizinhança. É coordenador científico do projeto TASTE − Towards A Smart Rural Europe (http://taste-smarteurope.eu) −, uma Investigação pluridisciplinar financiada pela Comissão Europeia e por 4 organismos financiadores da Investigação científica em 4 países no âmbito do 7º Programa-Quadro Europeu para Investigação Científica (FP7) e da RURAGRI ERA-NET.
Luis Miguel Albisu
É doutorado em Economia Agrícola (Cornell University). Prosseguiu a sua carreira de investigação no Centro de Investigação e Tecnologia Agro-alimentar de Aragão (CITA), sendo atualmente o Presidente da respetiva Comissão Científica. Os seus interesses de investigação focam-se nos vários aspetos das cadeias de valor agro-alimentar, e englobam as questões da transferência do conhecimento em áreas rurais. É autor de numerosos artigos publicados em jornais científicos de topo e teve responsabilidades editoriais em diversas revistas científicas internacionais. Interagiu com diferentes instituições, tais como, o Instituto Agronómico Mediterrâneo de Zaragoza (IAMZ), a Organização Internacional da Vinha e do Vinho (OIV), a Comissão Europeia, centros de investigação e universidades em muitos países.
Andrew Copus
is, since 2013, senior researcher at the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences Group at the James Hutton Institute and of the Nordregio (Nordic Centre for Spatial Development, Stockholm). He was previously Senior Research Fellow at and the Centre for Remote and Rural Studies, University of the Highlands and Islands. Andrew is an economic geographer by training, whose research interests relate to the changing rural economy and rural/regional policy. He has a long-standing interest in territorial rural development and regional disparities, which through recent projects is presented as “rural cohesion policy”.
His on-going and recent projects include:
REGINA Regional Innovation in the Nordic Arctic and Scotland with a Special Focus on Regions with Large-Scale Projects, Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme; Mapping Rural Socio-Economic Performance (SEP), Report for Rural Communities Team, Food, Drink and Rural Communities Division, The Scottish Government (2015);TiPSE (Territorial Dimensions of Poverty and Social Exclusion), funded by the European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON). Andrew is project manager; Territorial Cohesion in Rural Europe – A collection of contributions by leading rural researchers, advocating rural policy approaches centred on the concept of territorial cohesion. Co-edited with Philomena de Lima (University of the Highlands and Islands). Published by Routledge 2014. Winner of the 2015 Regional Studies Association best book award; EDORA (European Development Opportunities for Rural Areas) funded by the European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON). Andrew was coordinator, under the auspices of the University of the Highlands and Islands.
